The Gaspé Peninsula represents the heart of wind energy development in Quebec. Since the first wind farm was commissioned in 1998, our local businesses have developed sound expertise in the field which is now widely recognized beyond the region: in other Canadian provinces, the United States and even in Europe.

Currently, the region is host to over 30 companies active in the manufacturing of blades, towers, and electric converters, in wind farm construction and O&M, rope access technology, industrial automation and information technology, environmental assessments and soon will also produce original and replacement brake pads. The Gaspé Peninsula is a land of opportunities for businesses seeking to invest in wind energy with multiple sources of financial support and services to encourage the establishment of manufacturing or specialized services.
